Western AIrways

Company Overview

Since its founding in 1974, Western Airways has grown from a one-pilot, one-aircraft operation to become one of the most respected Aircraft Charter and Management Companies in the nation. We provide 24-hour aircraft dispatch and flight coordination for private charter flights worldwide.
Our staff can accommodate even the most demanding schedules and assist with all travel arrangements needed. Western Airways also has an impeccable safety record, which we attribute to the quality of our aircraft and training of our pilots, crews, maintenance and support staff. For private ownership we specialize in locating, evaluating and acquiring quality corporate jets and turboprops. Our aircraft management services let owners enjoy the benefits of private ownership without the stresses of self-management.
Western airways is also an FAA Part 145 Repair Station, providing unrivaled quality maintenance and avionics service for business jets, turboprops and piston aircraft.

Company History

Captain George A. Dodge started Western Airways in 1974 with a single-engine Piper and lofty ambitions. Western has since been traversing continents with thousands of satisfied customers. The company has provided professional and dependable air charter flights and aircraft services to a long and distinguished list of national and international companies, as well as private individuals, entrepreneurs and prominent politicians.

Western Airways has received added lift with entrepreneur Keith Mosing. The accomplished pilot and oil service industry executive climbed into the cockpit of business with his friend George to take the company to an even higher business level with his flying experience, business acumen, and love of airplanes. Today, the Western fleet is expansive and operated with an unblemished safety record. Aircraft include Lear Jets, various Citation models, Challengers, the 30-passenger CRJ200LR airliner, King Air 350, and more. Western’s high standards, its state-of-art computerized Safety Management System (SMS), and its safety record have earned it the honor to be one of the few charter companies in Texas authorized to fly large publicly-traded companies.

Western's pilots, technicians, and line personnel not only receive constant in-house training, but Western has a contract with the independent Flight Safety International for the latest flight simulator and ground school training and testing on a recurring basis. All Western aircraft are maintained at the highest standards for the safety and security of our customers.
