Description
JETPRO Texas is seeking a well qualified Part 91 Director of Maintenance to join our professional aviation team in Waco, Texas. JETPRO Texas buys, sells, manages, crews and maintains Part 91 aircraft currently consisting of Citation, Hawker and Falcon aircraft directly for our clients.
The Director of Maintenance is responsible for the evaluation, recordkeeping, and management of maintenance for aircraft. Directly maintains or provides oversight to those maintaining the aircraft and ensuring airworthiness and all facets relating to dispatch reliability. The Director of Maintenance will also assist with the oversight of various prepurchase inspection events from time to time on various corporate aircraft makes and models. Overnight travel requirements will normally be limited.

Management of Aircraft Maintenance
- Pre and Post Flight Inspections
- Performs Post Flight/Maintenance paperwork requirements and ensures crew are updated on availability of aircraft at all times
- Liaise with JETPRO management and managed aircraft owners to ensure up-to-date information on scheduled maintenance requirements and planning
- Manage scheduling and all aspects of maintenance related to aircraft under Part 91 to ensure safe operational readiness of aircraft with as little schedule impact as possible
- Ensure compliance and respond appropriately to applicable Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
- Conduct required aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs in-house when possible
- Work with various parts providers to ensure the best available prices and terms on parts and consumables
- Liaise with outside vendors and service providers to schedule maintenance and achieve the best possible value considering pricing, schedule and terms on third-party maintenance activities
- Liaise with maintenance centers and accompany aircraft at offsite maintenance events when requested by management
- Review estimates/invoices for accuracy and liaises with vendors to rectify errors
- Oversight of invoicing to management clients - Security & Management of aircraft records and logbooks
- Ensures all logbook entries are complete and reflect the work accomplished on the aircraft for both in house work and third-party vendors
- Ensure all relevant logbooks are well organized, secured and accounted for at all times
- Maintains and updates Computerized Maintenance Planning systems (CAMP/CESCOM/TRAXXALL)
- Updates and manages contract programs and facilitates periodical invoices for items such as MSP, ESP, ProAdvantage, CASP, MSP Avionics
- Updates all relevant revisions including Flight Manuals, Crew Manuals, and Maintenance Manuals - Technical Expertise
- Provides advice and guidance on maintenance issues as they arise, and advice on discrepancies
- Produces maintenance budgetary advice when requested by Company Management - General
- Representing Owner/Operator’s interests at operator conferences and seminars
- Communicate with external agencies such as US Customs (Decal purchase) and NOAA (ELT registration)
- Interact with service providers such as Rockwell Collins/Jeppesen/Garmin to facilitate provision and updating of aircraft navigation and chart databases
- Interact with aircraft OEMs to ensure up-to-date and accurate technical publications are available, either in paper copy or digital/online versions
Requirements
Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) Certification preferred but not required
- 5 years of maintenance management experience in a Part 91 or similar
- Possess a commensurate and amicable level of interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiating skills to effectively handle time sensitive and critical situations
- Command a good general knowledge of various makes and models of common corporate aircraft and the environments they operate in
- Command and demonstrate knowledge necessary for planning, implementation, and continued operations of various maintenance programs, subscriptions and plans
- Extensive experience with computer-based aircraft maintenance programs
- Conversant experience with common office computer systems and programs
- Able to pass applicable background checks and be free from travel restrictions, criminal convictions, etc.
- Valid passport and drivers license
