- Commercial Airline Fueling Manager
Description
The Commercial Airline Fueling Manager oversees all commercial aircraft fueling and defueling operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service. This role leads a team of fueling personnel, manages scheduling, maintains regulatory compliance, collaborates with airline partners, and drives continuous operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Direct daily fueling/defueling for commercial aircraft, including Boeing 737 and larger.
Manage staffing, employee schedules, and resource allocation across multiple airline groups.
Coordinate with Equipment Maintenance to ensure fueling vehicles operate safely and reliably.
Maintain quality control systems and adherence to airline and company standards.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce all safety protocols; investigate incidents as required.
Ensure compliance with ATA 103, NFPA 407, and FAR 139.321.
Maintain accurate training and audit documentation; support airline audit processes.
Promote a strong safety culture through ongoing training and oversight.
Team Leadership
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate fueling personnel.
Qualify employees on airline-specific fueling procedures.
Provide coaching and leadership to support productivity and service quality.
Customer & Stakeholder Relations
Serve as primary point of contact for airline customers at KCMH.
Coordinate with airline partners, internal departments, and management to ensure high service levels.
Respond promptly to operational issues, emergencies, and customer concerns.
Performance & Improvement
Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Recommend and implement enhancements to efficiency, safety, and service.
Assist with budgeting for staffing, equipment, and operational needs.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fueling management software

Licenses & Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (no more than 4 points)
Ability to pass drug testing, FBI background check, TSA and Airport Authority requirements
U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Stable work history preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to hear/see approaching vehicles, aircraft, and safety signals
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform climbing, bending, kneeling, and confined-space tasks
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
Commercial aircraft fueling experience strongly preferred
Experience in aviation operations or team leadership is beneficial
