Description
Northwest Flyers is seeking a dedicated and skilled Aircraft Mechanic for a full-time role. This position offers an annual salary $60,000 and $100,000 (Based on experience). The Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of company-managed aircraft. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Maintenance and collaborate with various departments to ensure flight safety, minimize operational disruptions, and maintain adherence to scheduled maintenance timelines.
- Duties and Responsibilities
Report directly to the Director of Maintenance, maintaining clear communication and accountability for maintenance activities. - Coordinate the resolution of maintenance discrepancies for all operational aircraft by continuously monitoring mechanical issues and prioritizing actions to reduce maintenance recovery time.
- Oversee the availability of aircraft and coordinate logistics between the Maintenance Department and Flight Operations to ensure optimal aircraft readiness.
- Work collaboratively with Dispatch on procedures and status updates related to the Minimum Equipment List (MEL).
- Monitor all MEL and Deferred Maintenance Items to ensure timely compliance with required procedures.
- Review and approve all maintenance release documents, ensuring compliance with the Northwest Flyers General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and FAA regulations, and initiate Return to Service procedures as appropriate.
Requirements
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P).
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet operational demands.
